The WhatsApp Business solution can be used by enterprises of all sizes that want to manage conversations with their customers and provide useful information quickly and easily. Please note, that this program is opening with limited availability. Approval by WhatsApp will be required on a case-by-case basis for all customers entering the program.
You can use the WhatsApp Business solution for a variety of use cases, such as:
  • Alerts, including updates on travel itineraries, system outages, payment confirmations and location-targeted alerts
  • Notifications about orders or deliveries, appointment reminders, payment processing and more
  • Customer support, allowing your support team to engage in in-depth conversations and make use of WhatsApp’s rich media capabilities, making your customer experience quick to initiate and as easy and familiar as a conversation with a friend.
The WhatsApp Business solution does not support messaging for marketing purposes.
MessageBird offers an API that easily integrates the WhatsApp Business solution into your communications mix. MessageBird is working together with WhatsApp to bring the platform to you in a supported way. We will guide you through the entire WhatsApp onboarding process and provide and maintain all required infrastructure with our ready-to-use solution. As we develop our own product suite, we will be able to provide access to all major global communication platforms as they come available.

MessageBird will guide you through the entire onboarding process. Eligibility will be based on product-market-fit, specific target verticals, readiness profile and target markets. Priority will be given to businesses with defined use cases and a proven track record with notifications and customer service. Businesses should be able to show measurable business objectives such as customer engagement, retention, loyalty/favorability. For the initial phase, we will concentrate on businesses in the eCommerce, travel, financial services, shared and on-demand economy, retail sectors.

Customers should prove that they are ready by demonstrating heavy usage of SMS, email, and other direct marketing channels and their existing Facebook relationship and spend history. They should also have the technical resources available and be quick-moving and scalable.

This program is opening with limited availability and WhatsApp approval is required for all customers entering the program. Together WhatsApp and MessageBird are onboarding businesses on to WhatsApp slowly and thoughtfully to provide the best experience for both business and end consumers.

If you have signed up for early access, MessageBird will alert you when you are ready to go.
Customers will need to have shared their mobile phone number with your business in order for you to message them via WhatsApp. If you would like to initiate a conversation with a customer, you’ll need to use a pre-approved message template to do so.
