A 24-hr chat session will start when a customer reaches out, during which you pay the outbound MessageBird flat fee only.
The WhatsApp Business solution can be used for sending outbound notifications straight to your customer’s phone. Whether it’s appointment reminders, delivery alerts or boarding passes, you can use Template Messages to send customers information at any time. Template messages must be pre-approved by WhatsApp and marketing use cases are not allowed.
Session Messages on WhatsApp are sent within a 24-hr window after a customer reaches out to your company. During the session, your agents can chat to people directly for a reduced fee. You only pay the MessageBird outbound message fee for as long as the WhatsApp session is open. The session stays active for 24hrs after the last inbound message was received. After the 24-hr window is up, you can pick the conversation back up by sending a Template Message (fees apply).
